Coaching Sports Online is Easy.
Here's how you do it.

If you do the things on this page, you'll make more money today from your coaching. It's really that easy.

Step 1: Offer film review

You already watch your athletes play and tell them what to fix. Film review is the same thing on video, where they send you a clip, you break it down, and they get notes they can go back to as often as they need.

It's the easiest way to start coaching online because it's something you're already good at.

The Irresistible Offer Checklist

Before you send your offer to anyone, make sure it:

  • Solves a specific problem
  • For a specific person
  • In a specific way
  • Achieving an objective outcome
  • In a specific timeframe

Step 2: Send the offer to your current (and former) athletes

Your first online athletes are the players you coach right now, the ones you used to coach, and the ones who almost signed up before the timing got in the way. They already trust you, so you don't need a big following to get started.

Use this free sheet to find every one of them. It shows you where to look (your texts, group chats, past bookings, parents, your club's list) so nobody slips through.

→ Make your own copy of the Network Opportunity Audit

For players outside your usual group, you can send something as simple as this:

"Hey, want to [get this outcome] in [this timeframe]? I've got an online program for that. You can do it from your couch."

Step 3: Host them all in one spot (like Skool)

When clips are buried in your texts and questions are scattered across DMs, you'll burn out fast. Put your videos, your feedback, your calls, and your athletes all in one place so you always know who needs what.

This video walks you through setting one up from scratch.

Step 4: Charge $25 to $125 a month

That's less than a single private lesson for most families, and it pays you every month whether you're on the field that day or not. Start toward the lower end while you get comfortable, then raise your price as you add more one-on-one film breakdowns.

Here's how fast it adds up:

10 athletes × $25/month = $250 a month

20 athletes × $50/month = $1,000 a month

30 athletes × $100/month = $3,000 a month

Step 5: Treat them like you care about them

This is what keeps athletes around for months instead of weeks, and it comes down to two things:

  • Show up (yes, even online). Answer their messages, jump on the calls, and check in on the group so they know you're actually there.
  • Help them achieve their goals. Know what each athlete is working toward, whether that's making varsity or getting recruited, and tie every review back to it.

That's it. Do these 5 things and you've got an online coaching program.
